Menopause Clinic – Initial Appointment Request

PLEASE NOTE: CURRENT WAITING TIME FOR APPOINTMENTS IS ABOUT 4-6 WEEKS

What will happen during the appointment? 

 
• Menopause symptom assessment - We will suggest treatment options depending on your symptoms and preferences. We prescribe Bio-identical hormone treatment when appropriate. 
• Cardiac Health Assessment - We can add ECG screening at this stage if appropriate - optional.  
• Bone Health Assessment - a comprehensive history-taking, BMI and a FRAX score assessment which measures your risk of suffering an osteoporosis-related fracture in the coming years.  
• Lifestyle Assessment and Advice  
• Contraceptive Advice  
• Breast Exam  
• Relevant Blood Tests - these may or may not include hormones.  

Typically, your appointment will last about 60 minutes with this time spilt between our doctor and nurse. 

A booking deposit of €100 is required to confirm your appointment and the balance of €100 (without ECG) or €120 (including ECG) is payable on the day of your appointment. Total cost of the clinic appointment with no extras is €200. Extra tests may incur extra charges.

Menopause review appointments are extended 30 minute consultations. Cost is usually €100 (without bloods) or €120 (including bloods).

Please note that our Menopause Clinic is stand alone service. If you require GP services outside of this, you should attend your own GP practice.

A deposit of €100 is required to complete this stage of the appointment booking. Once payment has been received we will contact you to arrange an appointment. We will be as flexible as we possibly can with appointment times to suit you.
